The WBS and SOW, for the most part is generally pretty set up and shouldn’t need much adjusting unless it is very new territory there is a lot that of unknowns for how the project should operate.

While it is recommended to double the time frame to account for problems or other issues that may arise, employees or contracts could be terminated. While the risk register can always be updated to reflect new risks as they come, the biggest one is losing employees or the contractor in general due to operating outside of the approved contract. If termination where to happen, other portions of the plan would take a hit. The schedule would likely have to slide due to procuring another contractor or employee and to have to train them. The budget could also take a big hit on the procurement plan depending on if the contract is a firm-fixed price or not.
