For example, 79% of patients with community-acquired pneumonia, that were prescribed antibiotics were not supported by prescribing practices( CDC,2021). Hospital providers may enhance antibiotic stewardship, if possible, waiting for diagnostic test results to be obtained and evaluating treatment options. Also providers can use the shortest  and effective duration therapy. Some other interventions can be educating providers, nurses and even patients about any adverse reactions. Role of NP in hospital setting is to educate patient, proper monitoring of antibiotic prescribed and communicating important outcomes  (Knobloch et al., 2021). A personal experience with me happened a couple months ago, I was feeling sick had a really bad sore throat. I went to a CVS minute clinic and saw a NP ran some test and I tested positive for strep. I finished my antibiotics, couple weeks later I started having a sore throat again. I thought maybe it didn’t clear away and probably needed another round of antibiotics, went to the same CVS and saw the same NP. She ran some test and this time it was negative, she looked into my throat saw It was red but no spots. She said she was going to send some samples for culture, and she will call me and give me antibiotics if needed once the results were back.
