ANSWER

Advertisement Analysis

Advertisement 1

Type of Ad: Determine if it’s a print ad or a commercial. Identify the creator and provide a brief description.

Product/Service: What is being advertised, and what is the advertiser trying to sell?

Target Audience: Who is the ad aimed at? Be specific in describing the demographic, psychographic, or behavioral characteristics of the audience. You can infer this from the content, visuals, and messaging in the ad.

Fowles’ Appeals: Identify three of Fowles’ “15 basic appeals of advertising” that are used most heavily in the ad. Explain why you believe these appeals are prominent in the advertisement. For example, if the ad appeals to the need for affiliation, explain how it does so.

Pathos, Ethos, or Logos: Based on your answers in question 4, determine whether the ad primarily uses pathos (emotional appeal), ethos (credibility and trustworthiness), or logos (logical reasoning). Defend your answer by providing specific examples from the advertisement.

Effectiveness: In your opinion, is the ad effective for its target audience based on your assessment and analysis of the previous questions? Explain why or why not, considering how well it aligns with the target audience’s needs, desires, and motivations. Provide evidence from your analysis to support your conclusion.

Repeat the above analysis for Advertisement 2 and Advertisement 3.

Remember to provide specific details and examples from each advertisement to support your analysis. Use clear and concise language in an essay format, and consider optimizing for SEO by incorporating relevant keywords related to the advertisement and its content.
