A funeral home can have brand new cars, a multi-million dollar facility, beautiful new state of the art equipment, but still lose business to a competing firm that has a compassionate staff. I know personally of one firm that started in a double-wide mobile home in the early 1980’s and that firm took the majority of business from the surrounding communities, including from one funeral home that was a reasonably new facility. I can assure you that this funeral home did not stay in the mobile home for long – leaving to build a beautiful, new facility. Ideally, it would be nice to have a beautiful, up-to-date facility, newer cars, perform professional, diginified funeral services, and perform professional embalming and restorative art. But all of this does not mean a thing, if you do not have an empathetic and compassionate staff!
