POST #1: When I was young I had difficulties eating and drinking certain foods and liquids. I would have bad skin reactions such as breaking out to the point where I would bleed, have bad diarrhea and abdominal issues, and be horribly constipated/bloated for long time periods in reaction to the food and liquids. Eventually, we learned that I was lactose intolerant. Once we realized this information, we took dairy products out of my diet and switched to alternatives. Once we subtracted the dairy (unpleasant stimulus) from my diet, my body was much healthier and functioning normally (desired behavior).

POST#2: An example of negative reinforcement is when a student double-checks their school bag the night before their classes the next day to make sure they have all of their necessary supplies for their classes to avoid going to class unprepared for what they are going to be doing. The student can do by emptying their bag, checking that everything is there, and then putting it back in, or by simply scanning through every pocket to make sure whatever needs to be there is there. This example is an example of negative reinforcement because the possibility of being unprepared for class the next day is removed, or more specifically, avoided, which defines the negative part of negative reinforcement. In addition, the action of the student double-checking their school bag that carries all of their supplies for their classes the night before to make sure that they have all of their necessary supplies for the next day is the behavior that is being encouraged, defining the reinforcement part of negative reinforcement.
