We have to choose on a topic that wasn’t spoken in American Myths class. The class simply debunks how history is debunked for example like Christopher Columbus and how he was not someone who we should be celebrated because America was built over lies and slaver. I chose the manifesto of Hitler because he had a different outlook on why he did what he did with the Jews. Need a research paper of 6 pages long on a research paper and argumentative essay.

Adolf Hitler Manifesto
Introduction
On 1st September 1939, the second world war began as Adolf Hitler’s Nazi Germany invaded Poland. Germany’s reasons for starting the war stemmed from Hitler’s autobiographical manifesto, Mein Kampf, which outlined the country’s policies on world domination. Few books have stirred up controversy as one composed from the cell of a German prison. The propagandist book indirectly led to the death of 75 million people, both military personnel and civilians (Bot, 2019). Hitler, the architect of the manifesto, used demagoguery to inspire a wounded nation to perform one of the worst atrocities worldwide, the holocaust. Under the dictatorial regime, the book was the de facto Nazi bible synonymous with the Christian Bible.
Origin of Mein Kampf Principles
Mein Kampf alias My Struggle is a political manifesto written by Adolf Hitler. After Germany was defeated in 1918, the imperial government was replaced by the socialist Weimar Republic (Bot, 2019. The government was challenged from the right by war veterans who were unsatisfied with the peace deal and from the far left by citizens who advocated for a revolution (Bot, 2019). Hitler, a world war veteran, was disgusted by the government that silently accepted the Treaty of Versailles. The treaty signed after the first world war ridiculed and forced Germany to pay all the wartime expenses. In 1920, out of the Weimer government’s hate, he joined the National Socialist German Workers Party, commonly known as Nazi Party, and rose through the ranks to become its party leader in the early 1920s (Koschorke, 2017). In 1923, he attempted to overthrow the government in the infamous Beer Hall Putsch, where he got arrested and indicted on high treason charges and sentenced to five years at Landsberg prison (Vordermayer, 2019. While in prison, he began composing his book by dictating his revolutionary ideas to Rudolph Hess, a loyal member of the Nazi Party. Mein Kampf outlined Hitler’s political ideology and plans for Germany.
Mein Kampf Themes
Mein Kampf was published in two volumes in 1925 and 1927. The first volume promoted the critical components of Nazism; antisemitism, anti-communism, the unification of Germanic people, and an aggressive foreign-based policy geared to gaining living space in eastern Europe. Hitler viewed the world as racially divided where there was a permanent struggle between classes of people, high and low races. Hitler proclaimed the innate superiority of the Aryan race over every other race (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2020). Germanic people were of a higher race courtesy of their physical appearance of fair skin, blue eyes, and blonde hair (Brown, 2019). The Aryan race was identified as the culturally superior genius race; thus, the Jews and Slavs were assigned the inferior race tag (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2020). Hitler argued that the Aryan race was responsible for the art, scientific development, and technological advancement in history, further compounding their claim as superior.
He suggests that the inferior race benefited from the interactions with the Aryan race as long as the Aryan race remains supreme and does not intermarry with the lower races (Koschorke, 2017. Mein Kampf’s ideology encouraged the practice of the theory of eugenics, where certain genetic traits were to be removed, and others promoted through selective reproduction (Bot, 2019). Alcoholics, criminals, and people with disabilities were considered harmful; thus, the Nazis forcefully sterilized or killed them to prevent the pure race’s corrosion (Bot, 2019). The most intriguing component was his antisemitism campaigns. Germans did not take the defeat in the first world war well; thus, Hitler used Jews as a scapegoat for the lost war and the resulting economic crisis. The nationalist believed the war was lost due to betrayal by the Jews and Hitler referred to them as liars and thieves (Vordermayer, 2019). Germany was also forced to pay for the war reparations leading to a weak economy, high unemployment rates, and lack of money after paying debts (Bot, 2019). Hitler described the Jewish people as conducting an international conspiracy to control the financial sector, the press, and the invention of liberal democracy, capitalism, and promoting prostitution (Vordermayer, 2019). Though the prejudices about the role of the Jews were wrong, the economic crisis was blamed on their involvement with financial institutions thus had to be exterminated.
Hitler also claimed the Jews were the source of evil and the greatest threat to Aryan dominance. According to Mein Kampf, it was the sacred mission of the Aryan race to preserve the most valuable racial elements with the purity of their blood (Brown, 2019). Racial purification was a chief doctrine of the Nazi dogmas as it was illustrated as an absolute necessity for a new Germany. Hitler’s plan for Germany’s future was based on race purity rather than economic interest (Vordermayer, 2019). The most effective way of restoring German purity was the physical elimination of the Jewish race.
Mein Kampf also expressed Hitler’s nationalist ideas that German-speaking regions of Austria-Hungary be added to the German empire (Koschorke, 2017). Citizenship was based on the content of an individual’s blood as only those who had German blood could become citizens; thus, Jews had no chance of Jews becoming German citizens (Koschorke, 2017). Jews would therefore live in Germany as foreigners subject to foreign law. Mein Kampf advocated for the conquer of living space for future generations of German citizens (Brown, 2019). Hitler believed that the Aryan master race was entitled to acquire more land for their increasing population by force. The subjugated territory would be used to cultivate food and provide land for expanding the Aryan race at the Slavic people’s expense, comprised of populations in Poland, Russia, and Czech (Brown, 2019). He described the Slavic people as inferior, predestined to be dominated by Germany. An estimated 5 million Slavs were killed during the Nazi regime.
Hitler’s anti-communist ideas stemmed from beliefs that communism was a Jewish conspiracy. Hitler’s propaganda proclaimed the largest part of the communist leaders were Jews (Koschorke, 2017). After the war, Hitler was charged with training soldiers on the dangers of communism and the benefits of nationalism (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2020). Communism emerged from the Russian revolution of 1917 and was becoming popular in Germany among the radical leftist; thus, was a direct obstacle in Hitler’s quest for power. Communism is a political ideology cum economic system that instigates a classless society where the government controls all resources such as production, distribution, and exchange of goods and services. Hitler argued against the dangers of communism and made claims of a communist plan to help Russia overtake Germany.
In leadership, Hitler expressed his opinion of an autocratic government rather than a democratic form of governance. He had the idea of establishing an empire where the leader had an absolute authoritarian rule. In Mein Kampf, Hitler suggests there be no majority decision through elections and have one man making all the decisions (Koschorke, 2017). While serving as the dictator of Germany, he abolished all other parties making the Nazi Party the only party of the German population (Koschorke, 2017). Democracy was viewed as a form of government that protected the mediocre in society and brought about equality.
Hitler argued democracy was a Jewish creation as it led the Aryan race to believe in equality, thus abandoning their racial superiority (Koschorke, 2017). The Mein Kampf also called for revenge against France to humiliate Germany by stripping parts of its territory; Alsace and Lorraine. France was a sworn mortal enemy of Germany and had to be punished for being at the forefront in dictating the terms of the Treaty of Versailles (Vordermayer, 2019). France campaigned heavily for Germany to pay a heavy price for the war in terms of loss of territory, disarmament, and billions in reparation
The second volume of Mein Kampf focused on national socialism programs the Nazi Party would pursue to gain and exercise power in the German empire, the Third Reich. Hitler outlined Germany’s alliance policy, the battle against communism, and Germany’s best foreign policy (Koschorke, 2017). Germany’s foreign policy aimed at strengthening existing alliances and building new ones to advance its war plans. Hitler argued Italy presented the best option due to its expansionism plan, contrary to Great Britain and France’s plan for a stable Europe (Bot, 2019). The Nazi foreign policy also aimed at disregarding the restrictions imposed by the Treaty of Versailles, incorporating Germanic populations into the Third Reich, and persuading other states to participate in the final solution, that is, the destruction of the Jews (Koschorke, 2017). Hitler also considered national socialism to be the best policy for Germany (Koschorke, 2017). Socialism is an economy where the government controls all means of production. All resources are owned, controlled, and regulated by the government, but individuals have the freedom of owning property. The Nazi Party believed in private property rights since it supported its nationalistic goals
Antisemitism
Antisemitism is an age-old phenomenon regarding the hatred of the Jews. The Jewish population has been a victim of discrimination since the middle ages, primarily due to their religious beliefs (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2020). Hitler’s plans hinged on eliminating the Jewish race as he referred to the Jews as a lesser race, a germ and parasite that needed to be exterminated (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2020). The ideas of antisemitism were spread through the Nazi Party campaign to have the Mein Kampf as essential reading. Newlyweds were given a copy as a state wedding gift, while soldiers had the book as part of their standard issued gear (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2020). After his declaration as to the supreme leader, Nazi ideology acted as the national law; thus, Hitler continued with his antisemitic propaganda unabated.
Hitler created an idea of competition between the Jews and Aryans for world domination became a widespread conspiracy with children learning the beliefs in schools (Vordermayer, 2019). Hitler blamed the Jews for everything wrong in Germany, especially the failing economy, taking advantage of the already widespread prejudice that linked the Jews to money and power (Vordermayer, 2019). In 1933, Hitler was made German chancellor, and he used his powerful position to continue his atrocities against the Jews and expelling the population from the German territory (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2020). Hitler’s antisemitism became more radical and led to often led to violence. The Jewish population in Germany was approximately 525 000, representing one percent of the population (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2020). Many Jews left Germany from 1933 to 1939, before the start of the war.
The Nazi Party established Nuremberg laws in 1935, which stripped Jews of all property, freedoms, and rights (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2020). The Jews were forced out of civil service and printing business and into menial jobs. The Jews were regarded as second-class citizens and defined by the number of Jewish grandparents (Vordermayer, 2019). Three or four Jewish grandparents represented a pure Jew, while two grandparents represented half breeds; both were marked with a yellow sign to indicate their race (Vordermayer, 2019). After Germany conquered Poland, the German police evicted the Polish Jews from their homes into ghettoes ridden with poverty, overcrowding, hunger, and widespread unemployment (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2020). By 1941, inferior races such as Jews and gypsies from all over the continent were transported to concentration camps such as Sobibor, Chelmno, and Auschwitz (Brown, 2019). The population deported to the camps were starved, worked to death, killed in medical experiments, and gassed (United States Holocaust Memorial Museum, 2020). In the Mein Kampf, Hitler’s final solution to the issue of the Jews was by annihilating the entire race to prevent interbreeding with the pure Aryan blood (Vordermayer, 2019). The gas chambers were central to Hitler’s plan to systematically eliminate the inferior race and led to the holocaust, the systematic persecution and mass murder of millions of European Jews (Brown, 2019). The holocaust approximately led to the death of about six million Jews, two-thirds of its population in Europe.
