By systematically analyzing nurses’ experiences and perspectives through interviews and observations, new insights and theoretical explanations can emerge, guiding the development of targeted interventions to mitigate medication errors.

Recommendation for Research Design

Given the clinical nursing priority problem related to medication errors, I believe that a mixed-methods research design would be the most effective way to study this issue comprehensively. The mixed-methods design combines elements of both quantitative and qualitative research, providing a comprehensive and holistic approach to understanding the problem.

For the quantitative component, a survey can be administered to gather numerical data on the frequency and types of medication errors occurring in the healthcare setting.
